Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Her Excellency, The President of India presented the National Gold Shield Award for the Year 2007-08 for ‘Best Performance under early completion of Hydro Projects’ to Omkareshwar Hydroelectric Project (Unit-1).
International Business Productivity Forum has awarded NHDC with International Quality Excellence Award.
Despite the failure of Monsoon 2008 in the catchments of Indira Sagar Reservoir, both NHDC’s Projects viz. ISP and OSP has recorded 2368.45 MU of energy against the target of 3543 MU. It is to inform that as per NWDT Award and National Water Policy, the utilization of water for drinking and irrigation purposes has got priority. As Such, looking to the water available in the mother reservoir i.e. Indira Sagar, during FY 2008-09, the water releases after power generation from ISP were regulated with utmost care under the direction of NCA, so as to maintain continuous flow of water in the river Narmada and to ensure the drinking water supply in the down stream districts.
The NHDC’s Power Projects have demonstrated Capacity Index of 98.18% against the Normative Value of 85% as per the CERC Norms and the MoU Target of 90%. during Financial Year 2008-09.
The sales turnover of the corporation is Rs. 835.43 Crore during the financial year 2008-09.
Record cash revenue realization of Rs. 959.49 Crores (including EMI payments towards securitised dues) during FY 2008-09.
NHDC registered a net profit of Rs. 306.16 Crore for the financial year 2008-09.
NHDC has proposed to pay dividend of Rs. 45.92 Crore for the financial year 2008-09 to its shareholders viz. NHPC and GoMP in a ratio of their equity contribution i.e. 51:49.
The Company under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has undertaken various Social Welfare activities like improvement in the field of Education, Healthcare, Environment Conservation, Water Conservation, Access to Drinking Water, Sustainable Livelihood, Income Generation, Women’s Empowerment and Sanitation in and around Projects as well as Corporate Office. NHDC has provided impetus in transforming the socio-economic status of project affected Families (PAFs).
NHDC has been conferred with Sahstrabdi Rashtriya Rajbhasha Shield Samman, Rajbhasha Alankaran, Rajbhasha Gaurav, Sarvshresht Sansthaan and various other awards for Rajbhasha development in the organisation. Rajbhasha Patrika ‘Aarohan’ has also been awarded ‘Ganesh Shankar Vidhyarthi’ Award & Rashtriya Rajbhasha Patrika Samman.
