NHDC Limited was conferred with a Silver India Pride Award 2010 for Corporate Social Responsibility. Dainik Bhaskar Group & DNA networks organized the India Pride Award 2010 and the award was received by Shri S K Garg, CMD, NHPC & NHDC and Sh. K M Singh, CED, NHDC from Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Hon’ble Finance Minister, during a glittering ceremony at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi on 13/09/2010. NHDC has undertaken various programs for Corporate Social Responsibilities and Community Development in and around its project areas as well as Corporate Office at Bhopal. The areas focused under CSR programs are School education for poor, SC/ST Welfare, Women empowerment, Healthcare in rural & urban areas, drinking water facilities, environment protection works, wildlife protection drives, adoption of SOS children/old age homes, etc. NHDC, under CSR Program, has also undertaken the construction work of a Rest House at Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital Bhopal for patients & their escorts and the same is likely to be completed by the end of this year.
