The shareholders of NHDC i.e. NHPC (51%) & GoMP (49%), in its AGM today has approved a dividend of Rs. 21.23 Crores which shall be distributed between them in proportion of their stake-holding in the company. It may be noted that NHDC has registered a net profit of Rs. 212.30 Crores during FY 2009-10. NHDC is conserving its internal resources for successful implementation of 2 x 660 MW Reva Thermal Power Project for which no equity contribution has been sought from shareholders and thereby reduced percentage of dividend has been declared to shareholders as compared to previous year.
NHDC Limited, the largest hydropower producer in the state of Madhya Pradesh, has now diversified into the field of all Conventional & Non conventional sources of energy. While addressing the press conference, CMD, NHPC/NHDC, Shri SK Garg, informed that NHDC has undertaken a 1320 MW (2 x 660 MW) super critical technology based Reva Thermal Power Project in district Khandwa. The survey & investigation works pertaining to Environment, Hydrology, Social Impact, Geotechnical matters, etc. are progressing as per scheduled. A 100 MW prospective Wind Power Project has also been identified at Kukru in district Betul of MP. Three wind masts have already been installed and Wind Assessment Study is likely to be compiled by December 2010. Recently, the MP Tradeco/GoMP has offered another 1320 MW (2 x 660 MW) Shahpura Thermal Power Project in district Jabalpur to the Public Sector Utility.
